Touristic potential of Pskov - selected aspects

Olga Jakovleva

Located in north-western Russia city of Pskov is one of the oldest cities in the country. It is located on the international route toward St. Petersburg only about 60 km east from the borders of the European Union. The city has a unique atmosphere resulting from the historic heritage and numerous monuments gathered secular and religious dating back to the twelfth century. Pskov though perhaps less known than nearby Novgorod and St. Petersburg is the place fully deserving visiting a high tourist potential.
